FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

_______

What is Cosmetic Tattooing?

  • Cosmetic Tattooing is the process of implanting pigment into the top layer of the skin using a sterile, disposable needle.

Which technique/style is best suited for me?

  • When scheduling a new set appointment, it doesn't actually matter which style you book in for. At the time of your appointment we will do a full consultation, go over each style of brow, discuss your desired look; whether that be more natural or bold, your lifestyle, skin type, discuss colour and decide together which style of brow will be best suited for you. If you have any questions or concerns prior to scheduling and appointment simply submit a contact form located at the bottom of the page!

Does it hurt?

  •  We apply both a topical numbing cream and a secondary numbing gel throughout the entire procedure! As pain thresholds vary per individual, most of our clients are completely numb.

How long does it last?

  • Cosmetic Tattooing is considered a semi permanent procedure as the body will metabolize the ink over time. Generally Cosmetic Tattooing will last in the skin 1-10 years. Touch ups are recommended every few years to keep the shape in tact and perform a colour correction to the brows if needed.

What will my brows look like immediately after the procedure opposed with when they heal?

  • Immediately following your Cosmetic Tattooing procedure you can expect your brows to appear darker, bolder, and slightly thicker the first few days. The healing process will take approximately 8 days but this may vary per individual as everyones skin is different. Once your brows have fully heal they will soften and fade 30-50% and will blend seamlessly with your natural brows. My goal as an artist is to provide you with the most natural results so no one will ever know they're tattooed.

  • No Caffeine or other stimulants the day of your appointment.

  • No alcohol, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin (or other blood thinners) 48 hours prior to your appointment.

  • No Retin A products 2 weeks prior to appointment.

  • Please leave yours brows as they are, do not remove excess hair by means of plucking, waxing or threading we will take care of that for you.

  • If you have additional questions or concerns please let us know!

You will be provided with aftercare cream and additional aftercare instructions at your appointment.
